2011 D Day Recce Rides

Ok chaps, looking for ideas for our big Saturday ride out going L2K...any suggestions...? Will be having a Recce weekend some point in April btw and then most likely a second in May.

We 1st need to decide on timing: when we start, how many times and how long we need to stop for drinks/lunch, what time we need to be back in Le Touquet. This will dictate how far we can go.

And any petrol stops needed, the pink one only does 100 miles between fill ups

Its more than the GS does between gearboxes

BTW Nadeem. is L2K now the official abbreviation for Le Touquet ? I like it

Yep saves typing it out...

Okay plan is leave at 10am sharp from L'Enduro Cafe - will no doubt have to go the petrol pump first - stop for lunch by 12.30pm - set off again 2.00pm and try to get back for 5.00pm.

Can we try to make sure EVERYBODY has a full tank of petrol when they get to L'enduro at 9:45? Last year when we left on the Sunday morning and lots of people had to fill up it was just such a big mess with bikes all over the road and groups getting mixed up.

And how do you suggest we do that Fabrice? Every time I say to folk - please make sure your bike is full, but it only takes two or three to ignore that and we have to stop. And I should add, if we don't stop, they will do so anyway and take the rest of the group behind them into the petrol station.

If you do a ride to France on a Saturday I may be able to come along if Nadeem can put me up Friday and Sat?
