Default Bling added to Guzzi Stelvio

I had a new exhaust silencer fitted to my Stelvio at the weekend by local Guzzi dealer that I bought off them via E bay at a vastly reduced price!

Sounds great with the baffle out but v.noisy so have put back in today and will test later this week. Have blipped throttle on the drive and it still sounds great but a little quieter! Honest PC plod!

I have also added Oxford Heated Grips (Guzzi ones too expensive and out of stock/production) and these have been fitted into the factory on-board system linked through ECU and adjusted through switch on handlebars showing the level readout on the bike speedo/dash.

Original plastic Guzzi panniers also fitted and locks updated so one key fits ignition, seat lock and panniers.

Fibreglass hugger fitted.

Garmin fitted via RAM mounts to handlebar.

So pretty much sorted (for now!)

Thanks Chris and I have to agree!

Its about 2kgs in weight whereas the OEM Guzzi one must be about 5 kgs so a weight loss benefit too.

Also the physical size of the original was just too big and never looked right?(see my garage)

Looks good.
From my yooof... The tail end of the silencers on the Guzzi Lemans rotted away in no time. I sawed the last 6 inches off. pulled out all the gizzards and brazed a new plate on the end. Needed a bit of re-jetting but it was fine, and sounded majestic. Eventually I could afford some stainless ones, which I still have. In fact I have the modified originals too... maybe I should try them again. I don't remember them being that loud

I think perceived loudness depends on your point of view so to speak. I hate the 50cc screamers that some yoof use but don't at all mind the equally loud Harley sound.

My new bike has a sort of booming resonance at 5k rpm which is fine to start with but as it translates to about 80mph on the motorway, gets rather boring after a while and I start looking for the mute switch!
